L/S from above of the racing cars with lots of people stood round them. M/S as one is pushed forward and it drives away with smoke coming out of the back. Various shots of the cars racing round the track. M/S as they speed towards the finish line.

Intertitle - '... whilst motorcycle enthusiasts on London to Land's End Run, negotiate the 1 in 4 gradient of Beggar's Roost Hill.'

M/S as one man chugs up the hill in a motorcycle and sidecar. M/S as another one tries to manoeuvre around and nearly runs into the back of another competitor. M/S as the next one comes through. M/S as one crashes into the side of the hill, everyone runs out of the way as smoke comes out of the back. M/S as another drives through quite successfully.

Comedy Christmas special with Bud Flanagan.
C/U of office door, Bud's name is written on glass. Seated at his editors desk in his office, Bud answers the phone and cracks a joke. Various library shots from 1920s of fire fighting exercises, bicycle racing at Brooklands, biplanes, archery, parachutists, election campaign, crowds in streets. All clips are played at wrong speed for comic effect. Bud provides comical commentary to clips. Various shots of comedians Richard Hearne, Douglas Byng and Arthur Riscoe wearing angel wings and performing their "flying Heavenly workmen" sketch. Library shots of Edwardian and 1920s swimsuit parades.

Bud at his desk summons his assistant, "Crumpet", who helps him on with his coat. C/U of Father Christmas with a sack of presents falling down the chimney. After a brief discussion, Santa gives the sack to Bud who goes out of the door. Various shots of Flanagan distributing toys to children in a hospital ward. C/U of three little boys with battered straw hats on their heads (like Bud's). Bud chats with little boys. C/U of a little girl helping Flanagan to pull a cracker. C/U of the Income Tax Demand that was inside the cracker. Various shots of glamorous chorus girls, some are holding a sprig of mistletoe. Flanagan asks the girls for a kiss but they all refuse. A small girl crawls out from under dressing table and gives Bud a kiss. C/U of Flanagan smiling. He says: "Now it will be a happy Christmas!"
