I just found out how you get a new IP-address and so don't
have to wait on RapidShare, so you needn't a Premium Account!
1. Download a file you want
2. Switch off your Modem/Router
3. Wait one or two minutes
4. Switch your Modem/Router on again
5. Wait until you got a new Internet connection - Now you
should have a new IP-address
6. Try to download a new file on RapidShare - and it should
work without waiting 3 hours!
Just try it, I hope it works for you, for me it just works
fine!

You can also try ipconfig /renew on your computer if you are
directly connected to the 'net (public IP) or go to your
router settings and try to renew it from there.

Only works when you have a dynamic IP, and not a static IP
****************************************************************************************** **
most people have static one
****************************************************************************************** **
Depends on your ISP too, I can only get a new IP if my current
one was assigned to another computer/router/whatever during
the time that I wasn't connected. Doesn't really happen that
often.

Yeppers, I just disconnect from my network, connect, and
everything works fine. No waiting times for me. Whooo.
Cheatin' the system. lol

Yep I a have static IP so can't use this trick.
****************************************************************************************** **
Just use a proxy server:
http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html In firefox: Tools > Options > Advanced
Then select the 'network' tab and click on the 'settings'
button in the connection section. Then select 'manual proxy
configuration'. Copy an IP and port from the link above and
click ok.
In IE (I think I have version 6, others should be similar):
Tools> Internet Options > Connections
Then click on 'LAN Settings', and tick the proxy server box.
Copy an IP and port from the link above and click ok.
Sometimes the first one you try won't work and you have to try
a different server. It might take a little while but it's
certainly better than waiting for hours before you can
download again. This trick also works with NTL (or is it
virgin media.. ) connections, where its usually nigh on
impossible to use rapidshare..
Hope this helps

I have better solution: let's stop using rapidshare.
Unfortunately some people tries to force using it by uploading
1 GB files there in 10 parts which takes a week to download

Not as bad as the person who put the 07 FIA review in 73 .rar
files.
Ive never downloaded a full series of races/events from
Rapidshare. f*** that. Maybe to get a 20MB vid or something,
but anything else, no matter how good, i just ignore.
